How does CoolSculpting Elite feel?
We get this question a lot. In the first few minutes of your treatment you should expect to feel a cold burning sensation. This sensation usually lasts about 3-7 minutes. Once you get past the first few minutes it is smooth sailing!
This treatment is perfect for those pressed for time. With the CoolSculpting Elite machine, we can treat two separate areas at the same time. For example, if abdomen and love handles are an area of concern, we can treat both of those areas in as little as 90 minutes!
Remember earlier when we said that most people will need at least two treatments minimum? Well the timing of those treatments is important. We recommend that your second treatment be at least 6 weeks from your first. Completing your treatments 6 weeks apart will help maximize your results.
So what happens during the Coolsculpting Elite treatments?
At the beginning of each appointment your nurse will take photos to help track your progress. Then we will outline the areas to be treated. Once that is completed, we will position you in the treatment bed and prep your skin with a pre-wipe solution and then a gel pad. This will help protect your skin from the freezing temperatures from the device. Once this is done, we place the appropriate applicators on your body, secure them with Velcro straps and start the treatment. Once the treatment begins you will feel a light pressure from the vacuum on the applicators and the areas will begin to get very cold very quickly. It usually takes a few minutes to get each area to the ideal temperature.
So what do you do while you’re hooked up to the machine? That’s the best part actually! You can watch Netflix, answer work emails, read, talk on the phone, or even take a nap.
Once the treatment ends, we remove the applicators and gel pads, cleanse the area with a warm towel and then perform a quick 2-minute massage with our sound wave machine to help promote healing and break up the frozen cells. After your CoolSculpting Elite treatment you can return to your normal routine.
